Obituary

Cindy Marie Gearhart, born on March 6, 1959, in Trenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, at the age of 67.

Cindy Gearhart, a loving wife, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by the love of the many people whose lives she touched.
Cindy was the beloved wife of James Gearhart. Though she did not have children of her own, she was deeply loved by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, friends, and many others who were considered family through love rather than blood.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Robert Johnson, Richard Johnson, June Craig (Johnson) and her husband, Dave, Robin Burdick, and Rebecca Luzac. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Richard Poupard, Alex Poupard and his wife, Stephanie, Jacob Craig, Christian Hagedorn and his wife, Sharon, Ashley Johnson, Angela Burdick, Sarah Burdick, Laura Burdick, and Marissa Luzac, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Cindy had a personality that made her unforgettable. She loved bingo, going to the casino, and especially Prince, whom she considered her number-one favorite. She found joy in the things she loved and in the people around her, and her sense of fun and warmth will be deeply missed.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Eulis Johnson and Sandra Seivers, and her beloved dog, Electra, who was an important part of her life.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Condolences

  • Cindy was a one in a million. I worked with her a long time, and she never had a negative thing to say about anyone. She always had a smile on her face. She dearly loved Prince, she will be greatly missed. My sympathy goes out to her husband who loved her very much. Rest in peace my dear friend Cindy, you are no longer in pain. Nancy Moxlow
